Fact file: Gibson Mapfidza

Mapfidza started his professional career at CBRE International Property Consultants before joining the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe as head of Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES).

He later joined Old Mutual Properties as property portfolio manager and later head of property development during which tenure he was posted to Old Mutual Malawi for three years.

He had a short stint with Fidelity Life Assurance of Zimbabwe as general manager property investments in 2018 before he was appointed managing director of Mashonaland Holdings Limited.

Mapfidza is a Chartered Surveyor with over 15years of professional working experience. He holds a Bsc.urban Planning (UZ), MSC. Construction Management (National University of Science and Technology and MSC. Real Estate Investment (University of Reading, UK).

He is an active and qualified member of the Estate Agency Council of Zimbabwe, Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
