Turkey resumes flights to Zambia

TURKISH Airlines has resumed flights to Zambia after a two-year break-off. The airline on Wednesday this week touched down at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport around 03:00 hours for the first time in two years. Zambia Ambassador to Turkey William Sikazwe was on board the airline, which took about nine hours. And in an interview, Sikazwe said the Zambian government had to engage the Turkish government on the need to have the airline resume its flights to Zambia. “Four to five years ago, Turkish Airlines had to suspend a few flights and in 2020, flights to Zambia were cancelled but they recently started flying to Tanzania and we said why not Zambia?,” he said. — Zambia Daily Mail.
